![]() The melody in the lick is played on the first string and involves a descending melodic sequence (D -> C -> B -> A -> G) embedded in a repetitive rhythmic pattern, as follows, with the melody string IN CAPITALS: ONE-three-two-one-ONE-three-two-one-ONE-three-two-one, and so on. Although difficult, the lick is worth mastering, because you can use it in lots of tunes. Note that the last D chord is a bit tricky, because it involves alternating the index and middle fingers while picking the first string. On the recording, we played in A so just capo up 2 and play it as tabbed in G. The second break in the tablature is the one on the track. If you go to the Music section on my BHO web page, you will find a track of this song, from a practice tape by my band Silver Spring, recorded in Vancouver, B.C., in the mid-1970s. Just would be nice to have the option.ģ) Most important to me (and probably others) is the ability to save my own pedal steel(or lap steel) copedent tuning so I do not have to reprogram the strings every time I need to write something specific for my instrument. I can live with the "between the lines" tab. I have successfully added dropdown list to each row when editing, got one issue need to fix, every time a row is edited the dropdown cell value goes to. Although this option allows the string numbers to be printed as you have mentioned, it will only print between the tab line, no matter which option is chosen. I have a editable jQuery table using Tabledit. I tried the "on the tab" and between the tab options, and stayed "between the tab".ġ) The problem of printing the string numbers has been solved.Ģ)Having the option to print the tab "on the tab lines" or between the tab lines doesn't work when PSG option is checked. ![]() It was between the strings as was with the pedal steel guitar. GOOD! However the tab was no longer "on the strings". ![]() The string names 1 through 8 DID show up on printout. Guitar chords are easy to add if you know how to play the guitar. I just add new modules as needed, change the instrument sound and tuning, then add each part. I will usually do a 5- or 6-part tune including mandolin/fiddle, banjo, guitar, bass, and often mandola as well. I checked the PSG box in the module as you mentioned. Sherry, I use TablEdit for backup tracks all the time. I again made the same 8 string instrument as before (it doesn't appear to save any prior instrument changes I had made). Printout shows corectly the 8 strings with entered tab on the string, but no string numbers. The file options say that duration errors are to be colored red, but these are not duration errors. I have no idea what the significance of those colored notes is, nor have I any idea how to make them black. First made an 8 string instrument from the chosen six string option. I have a tef file downloaded from that has a lot of red colored notes in the onscreen display. ![]()
